STUDY COURSES Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS)<br />
Master of Science in Environmental Technology & International Affairs (ETIA)<br />
Diploma Programme<br />
Admission requirements Candidates must hold a university degree (minimum 180 ECTS) in any discipline<br />
and have an excellent command of English. Candidates for the Diploma Programme<br />
take an entrance exam.<br />
Duration, costs MAIS (1st and 2nd year): EUR 22,900; ETIA (1st and 2nd year): EUR 22,600;<br />
Diploma Programme (1 year): EUR 11,300<br />
Begin of studies October 2013<br />
These programmes equip participants with the analytical<br />
skills needed to better understand and assess major<br />
current European and global trends, as well as specific<br />
issue areas. Graduates are thus in a position to actively<br />
help shape international developments during their<br />
future careers.<br />
THE COURSES COVER<br />
• political science • international relations<br />
• economics • international and European law<br />
• history<br />
The technical segment of the ETIA Programme also focusses on the quality management of air and water, the<br />
management of resources and energy, as well as climate change.<br />
LANGUAGES OF INSTRUCTION MAIS and ETIA courses are taught in English.<br />
The Diploma Programme is taught mainly in English though some lectures and seminars are also offered in<br />
German and French.<br />
LANGUAGE TRAINING Intensive language training in English, French, German and other languages is provided<br />
(compulsory in the Diploma Programme).<br />
ExCURSIONS The programmes include excursions to Brussels, cities in Southeast Europe (Belgrade, Sarajevo,<br />
Split, Prishtina) and international institutions with their headquarters in Vienna (UN, IAEA, UNIDO, OSCE, OPEC).<br />
The briefings and discussions offered on these occasions enrich the curriculum.<br />
