they're developing at a dazzling speed.
At the same time you have a new generation of workers
whose learning style seems to be different...often
influenced by technology.
IMPROVING PERFORMANCE
“Raving Customers”: A Successful and Pragmatic Hands-on
Approach to Drive Employee Engagement and Talent
Development
Did you know that within this and 3-5 years due to market
circumstances we'll all need to deliver an additional 20%
performance increase with the same or less amount of
employees? Is it possible?…yes it is, if we all start working
“smarter” by developing our networking performance and
focus on peer-to-peer learning.
The “Raving Customers” approach is inspired by the Blanchard
Organisation and was translated, with the help of business
managers, organizations like IBM, Achmea and learning
professionals.
Transformational Leadership Development
In our view, a narrow focus on behaviors and skills building may
be in-sufficient if the goal is to build leaders that have the
resilience to sustain major change and lead effectively in a
complex and uncertain environment.
Enabling leaders to be aware of, understand and manage their
individual 'operating system', the deeper qualities that drive
their behavior.
These are often sub-conscious drivers that automatically kicks in
and guide behavior. These reactive responses may be effective,
but they may also limit the leadership repertoire required to
achieving the most effective impact.
9:00 Developing a Management Pipeline: a practical and internallyrun
approach
In times of crises, cost cuts and hiring freezes, training and
development often suffers first. In the least, external courses and
support is minimized. A common mid-term effect – lack of good
“home-grown” managers and lower engagement of talents.
How can a management pipeline be developed effectively using only
limited internal resources?
Let me share with you practical approaches and tips that allowed
us to internally run a successful management development program:
Moving from descriptive to predictive HR analytics
The purpose of the worshop is to clarify the differences between
HRIS-based analytics (a.k.a. descriptive analytics) and predictive
HR analytics (a subset of data science) and highlight their
complementary natures.
Applying predictive analytics to the discipline of HR is a rather new
domain but with huge potential. PA enables organizations to:
Stay ahead of the curve by identifying workforce and
performance opportunities early and highlighting risks, even
before they arise
Make informed people-related decisions based on enhanced
insight and intelligence that simply cannot be obtained using
traditional descriptive reporting systems and/or HRIS tools
Use the superior intelligence derived to help support cost
savings and maximize the impact on any human capital
investment
leadership, learning and change interventions.
She has worked in Zurich, London and Hong Kong in various areas within
Talent and Learning: Graduate Recruiting, Graduate Development, Talent
Christian Janssens, Training & Talent Development Director EMEA,
Tech Data
Cristian is responsible for driving the development of 5400 employees.
When he was asked what he wanted to become as a kid his answer was:
“a cook or a succesfull coach”. At the age of 42 he has built up a broad
experience in sales/marketing and HR (as a cook he prepared a nice
meal with lots of variety) in companies like Xerox, Ricoh and Tech Data.
Both in field and senior management positions.
In 2007 and 2010 he was awarded Gold by the British Learning &
Performance Institute as “European CLO of the Year” and “European
Learning Department of the Year”. He puts people and customers in the
centre (they pay the bill and you want them to come back or stay for a
while) and believes in out of the box thinking and being creative (a good
cook needs to be), loves working internationally (you get the best dishes if
you mix different ingredients) and also wants to give something back to
society.
That's why he recently started his own charity foundation to support the
fight against cancer. So being and acting like a cook in a business
environment is possible!
