Materials<br />
• The platform is made of an aluminium girder with a trapezoidal section. It is<br />
built on a centre pin consisting essentially of a guide ring, an electrical<br />
manifold and a turning seal.<br />
• The manifold supplies the turning part of bridge with electricity from a fixed<br />
point.<br />
• The turning seal provides a hydraulic link between the force pipe situated<br />
inside the bridge and revolving with it and the fixed pipes forming one piece<br />
with the supporting shaft and running along the axis of the basin.<br />
• On the periphery, the girder is supported by a bar frame with one or two<br />
wheels. In both cases, only one shrouding wheel ensures the running of the<br />
bridge.<br />
• System of tubular arms fixed to the footbridge and supporting suction tubes,<br />
bottom and surface scrapers, made of 316 L stainless steel<br />
• Scum hopper made of 316 LS stainless steel, with an automatic cleaning<br />
device, and ND 200 discharge pipe to scum pit.<br />
• Notched weir 250 mm high with accessories for fixing and height<br />
adjustment in relation to the average water level, 316 LS steel.<br />

Drainage system<br />
The sludge drying beds are drained using under drain perforated pipes. These<br />
pipes convey water to a concrete open channel between the sludge drying beds.<br />
The cross section of this channel is rectangular and its bottom has a trapezoidal<br />
shape to improve the hydraulics characteristics at low flows. The longitudinal<br />
slope of the channel is 0.2 %. At the outlet of this channel a PVC pipe is to be<br />
constructed to connect the channel to the thickener supernatant back flow pump.<br />
The following quantities are required for this drainage system.<br />
� 11200 m perforated PVC pipes, DN 150, 1% slope, under drain.<br />
� 100 m PVC pipes, DN 300, 0.5 % slope, connecting the sludge drying<br />
beds drainage channel to the thickener supernatant back flow pump.<br />
� 2 concrete manholes, DN 1500.<br />
5. COMPOSTING<br />
- 2 front loaders with bucket capacity = 3.5 m3; at least one of the buckets is<br />
equipped with an integrated mixing device.<br />
Drainage system<br />
The floor of the composting area is inclined towards the west with a constant<br />
slope of 1.5%. At the end of the slope, and along the western edge of the<br />
composting area, a concrete open channel is constructed. The longitudinal slope<br />
of the channel is 0.20%. The channel has a rectangular cross section with a<br />
variable depth that increase in the direction of the slope (towards the north). At<br />
the end of the channel a manhole a rectangular manhole covered with concrete<br />
aluminum gratings. At the outlet of this manhole, a PVC pipe is to be constructed<br />
to connect the composting area drainage system to the thickener supernatant<br />
back flow pump. The mixing area is drained using a rectangular manhole<br />
constructed at the middle of the concrete floor.<br />
