It is with deepest sympathy that I send my most heartfelt condolences to all of the members and families of the North
Perth Fire Department. The thoughts and prayers of the Centre Wellington Fire Department are with you at this difficult
time. As a neighbour just to the east of you, I stood at work listening to my pager and the frantic voice of the dispatcher
as Palmerston was summoned to your call, wondering the extent of the incident. For as long as I live I will recall the
exact moment I heard that come over the air.
As we arrived at the memorial services I was floored at the amount of emergency service personnel in attendance,
however as the procession continued to the arena, we could hardly believe the tremendous amount of support from the
community. The crowd seemed at times to be 20 deep during the entire length of procession. You should all be truly
proud of the community that you serve in. As a fellow firefighter, to witness that sort of public outpouring of support and
love, was truly touching.
Stay strong, and know that your community both loves and respects our fallen heroes.
Members of the Tinley Park Illinois Fire Department extend our deepest condolence to the members of the North Perth
Fire Service on the loss of our brothers Kenneth Rae and Walter Raymond. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and
to the families of Firefighter Rae and Firefighter Raymond.
