Mr. Gall has served as a Principal Investigator on Phase I/II/III archaeological investigations and monitoring projects, and specializes in historic archaeology. He exceeds the qualifications set forth in the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Prehistoric Archaeologists [36 CFR 61], as well as the Historic Preservation Office’s qualification standards in New Jersey. He has extensive experience in archaeological projects, including work in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Representative Project Experience: Rowan University West Campus Tract, Gloucester County, NJ Field supervisor, Site Safety Officer for the Phase IB archaeological survey of an area proposed for soil remediation activities. Hazardous levels of the pesticide Dieldrin were present within the project area. Level C Hazmat protection was required for conducting the fieldwork. This area was considered to have a high sensitivity for prehistoric archaeological resources. No archaeological resources were identified within the contaminated area and no further archaeological work was required. Villages at Manalapan, Monmouth County, NJ Principal Investigator for Phase I-III archaeological investigations for a proposed commercial development in Manalapan Township. Phase I archaeological survey identified three archaeological sites that included an eighteenth-century farmstead (28MO349), a nineteenth and twentieth-century farmstead (28-Mo-348), and a Contact period Native American site (28MO355). Phase II archaeological investigations determined that the eighteenth-century farmstead was eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and a Phase III archaeological survey was conducted. Great Road and Cherry Valley Road Intersection Improvements, Somerset and Mercer Counties, NJ Principal Investigator for a Phase I/II/III archaeological investigation for a transportation project. The Phase I archaeological survey identified one Late Woodland site (28ME304) and one nineteenth-century tenant farmstead site (28ME305). The Phase II archaeological survey determined that both sites were eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Phase III archaeological investigations were conducted at both sites. Thomas Edison Menlo Park Laboratory Complex, Middlesex County, NJ Project Archaeologist for an archaeological investigation and evaluation of Thomas A. Edison's Menlo Park laboratory site (28MI226) and workers’ homes (28MI218 and 28MI219). Identified archaeological resources consisting of backyard deposits and foundations of two late-nineteenthcentury workers’ tenements and the Thomas A. Edison's underground patent vault.
