NPCs should allow approximately 30–60 minutes for classification evaluation for<br />

each athlete. Athletes should be present no later than 30 minutes before the<br />

scheduled classification times at the designated venue, and should be present for<br />

evaluation with the appropriate equipment, attire and medical documentation as<br />

stipulated in the IPSF rules. With the exception of an interpreter, no more than one<br />

person from each athlete’s NPC will be allowed to accompany an athlete to any<br />

evaluation session and, if applicable, re-evaluation session.<br />

Classification results will be distributed by LOCOG to NPCs at the SIC at the<br />

Paralympic Village and at SIDs at the competition venue where evaluation took<br />

place. Results will be posted within two hours of the close of the classification<br />

evaluation session: results of classification evaluation sessions that end at 12:30<br />

will be posted by 14:30, while the results of classification evaluation sessions that<br />

end at 18:30 will be posted by 20:30.<br />

Competition draw<br />

The draw for all events will be done by computer in the Olympic Stadium, as<br />

specified in the IPC <strong>Athletics</strong> rules. The draw for the first rounds of all events will<br />

be conducted on the afternoon of the day before the first/qualifying round.<br />

Draws for events, including subsequent rounds, are conducted continuously as<br />

required. The draw process will be managed by IPC <strong>Athletics</strong> and operated by<br />

the <strong>London</strong> <strong>2012</strong> results management system.<br />

All teams must submit their final confirmations for the first day of competition<br />

before 14:00 on 28 August. For each subsequent day of competition, the final<br />

confirmations and relay team confirmations are due before 09:00 on the day<br />

before competition. The draw procedure will be the same as for the first day,<br />

except that start lists and the daily competition schedule should be published by<br />

14:00 at the latest a day before and should be included in the package for the<br />

following day’s competition.<br />

The draws for semi-finals and finals will be carried out after each round of an<br />

event in the same manner as the draw for the first round.<br />
