Venue access<br />

All athletes and coaches will be taken directly to the Warm-up Venue without<br />

stopping at the Olympic Stadium. On competition days, the first competing<br />

athletes may arrive at the Warm-up Venue three hours before the first event. For<br />

transport information, see p91.<br />

Athlete load zone<br />

The athlete load zone is located at the entry to the Warm-up Venue.<br />

Training facilities<br />

The hours of opening for the venue will be as follows:<br />

28 August <strong>2012</strong> 08:00–12:00<br />

The warm-up area for the track and jumping events will contain an eight-lane,<br />

400m track, plus High Jump landing areas, and Long Jump/Triple Jump pits. The<br />

warm-up area for the throwing events will include a Javelin Throw runway, a<br />

Discus Throw/Hammer Throw circle (with a shared landing area) and two Shot<br />

Put circles. Mondotrack FTX will be used for all surfaces. In addition, there are six<br />

seated throws areas available.<br />

Other facilities and services<br />

Athletes’ Lounge<br />

An Athletes’ Lounge is located in the cabins alongside the 100m straight. Drinks<br />

and light snacks will be available.<br />

Changing rooms and showers<br />

Changing rooms and showers are located in the cabins near the 100m straight.<br />

First Call Room<br />

The First Call Room is located close to the 100m start line.<br />
