GENERAL REGULATIONS
Ladies European Tour 2012
Media and Television
Guidelines
These terms and conditions apply to all events on
the Ladies European Tour and sanctioned by the
Ladies European Tour unless they have their own
accreditation terms.
NEWS ACCESS REGULATIONS
Only representatives of licenced/authorised media
licencees may make sound and/or image recordings
of the Ladies European Tour event. Non-rights
holding broadcasters (whether television, radio or
new media) together with any media representative
accredited for news access must comply with the
News Access Regulations specified in this
document.
GENERAL MEDIA PROTOCOL
The following regulations are to be followed by all of
the media:
1. A daily armband or bib is necessary to walk
inside the gallery ropes. All media representatives
entitled to be issued with such armband/bib
must remain not more than one arm’s length
from the ropes and appear to be part of the
gallery at all times.
2. Players are not to be distracted during play.
Do not interview players or ask players to pose
for photographs during their rounds, practice
sessions or on the putting green, except by
prior arrangement with the player.
3. If an interview is to be conducted in a practice
area, either the range or putting green, it must
be done up against the ropes and not in areas
where it could be distracting to other players.
4. Do not disturb players at the 18th green until they
have checked, signed and returned their score
cards. Media are not allowed in the
scoring facility.
5. The media member assumes all risk and danger
incidental to the game of golf and releases the
Ladies European Tour from any and all liabilities
resulting from such cases.
6. During weather delay situations, no-one other
than players and essential staff will be allowed

into locker rooms. However, whenever possible,
arrangements will be made to provide players for
interviews during such situations depending on
availability and interest.
PRINT MEDIA REGULATIONS
Media accreditation will only be issued to personnel
on assignment from recognised and accredited
publications, as determined by the Ladies European
Tour in its sole discretion. Freelancers must be
on specific assignment and submit proof of the
assignment to the Ladies European Tour. The
Ladies European Tour may at its sole discretion
grant or deny accreditation.
Other than for editorial news coverage, media
representatives shall not use any content in any
commercial manner except with the written
consent of the Ladies European Tour.
PHOTOGRAPHER REGULATIONS
Media (photographic) accreditation will only be
issued to personnel on assignment from recognised
and accredited publications, as determined by
the Ladies European Tour in its sole discretion.
Requests for accreditation must be made by
the publication or news agency and not by the
photographer. The Ladies European Tour may
at its sole discretion grant or deny accreditation.
Accreditation affords a photographer the right to
publish material solely for editorial purposes and
any proposed commercial use is subject to the
prior written approval of the Ladies European Tour.
Cameras may only be used by accredited media
and in accordance with the following protocol:
1. A daily armband or bib is necessary to walk
inside the gallery ropes. All media representatives
entitled to be issued with such armband/bib
must remain not more than one arm’s length
from the ropes and appear to be part of the
gallery at all times.
2. The use of golf carts, ladders or other equipment
to gain extra advantage is prohibited.
3. Photographers must not position themselves in
the line of play or distract a player. If requested
to move the photographer must do so without
delay or discussion.
