result was a tie for 2nd at the 2010 City of Hammond<br />

Winner of the 2003 Junior Orange Bowl International<br />
Championship. Winner of the 2005 AJGA Rolex<br />

n In May 2011, Carlota turned professional and in June,<br />
she finished 2nd to Becky Brewerton on her professional<br />
debut at the Tenerife <strong>Ladies</strong> Match Play, which was a<br />
non-official event on the <strong>LET</strong> schedule. She competed<br />
on the <strong>Ladies</strong> <strong>European</strong> <strong>Tour</strong> Access Series in 2011<br />
where she won the Murcia <strong>Ladies</strong> Open. She tied for<br />
34th at the LPGA Final Qualifying <strong>Tour</strong>nament, where<br />
she earned Priority List Category 20 for the <strong>2012</strong> LPGA<br />
season. She finished 3rd at the <strong>LET</strong> Final Qualifying<br />
School tournament to earn membership, in category 8a.<br />
AMATEUR<br />
Ciganda enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning<br />
the 2007 British Amateur Championship and 2004 and<br />
2008 <strong>European</strong> Championship. She was the Spanish<br />
National Champion from 2000-2006. She was a member<br />
of the 2006 and 2008 Spain World Amateur Team; 2005<br />
and 2007 <strong>European</strong> Junior Solheim Cup Team and 2004<br />
and 2006 <strong>European</strong> Junior Ryder Cup Team. While at<br />
Arizona State University she made conference history<br />

started to play aged eight. She likes watching sports,<br />
movies, shopping and hiking. Her home town is<br />

Joined <strong>LET</strong> February <strong>2012</strong><br />
by becoming the first player to win back-to-back<br />
Pac-10 Championships in 2009 and 2010. She played<br />
in a number of professional tournaments as an amateur<br />
and first took part in the 2005 Tenerife <strong>Ladies</strong> Open aged<br />
14. Although on that occasion she did not make the cut,<br />
she finished as the best Spanish representative in several<br />
professional tournaments, including the 2007 Open de<br />
Espana, when she finished eighth and the 2008 Tenerife<br />
<strong>Ladies</strong> Open when she was third, three shots behind the<br />
winner, Rebecca Hudson.<br />
PERSONAL<br />
Height 174cm, brown eyes and hair. Started to play golf<br />
aged five and credits her father as the biggest influence<br />
on her career. Her uncle is the ex-football player and<br />
coach Jose Angel Ziganda. Her biggest hero is Rafael<br />
Nadal. She attended Arizona State University. Hobbies<br />
include movies, music, sports and going out with friends.<br />
