The BCT S–2 or his designated representative briefs <strong>the</strong> enemy situation and <strong>the</strong> enemy course of action (COA)<br />

<strong>in</strong> order to depict <strong>the</strong> situation for combat service support (CSS) executors. The BCT S–2 also focuses on <strong>the</strong><br />

enemy threat as it perta<strong>in</strong>s to <strong>the</strong> CSS battlefield operat<strong>in</strong>g system.<br />

The BCT S–3 or his designated representative briefs <strong>the</strong> friendly situation and <strong>the</strong> BCT’s maneuver plan <strong>in</strong> order<br />

to depict <strong>the</strong> situation for CSS executors.<br />

The BCT S–2 or his designated representative advances <strong>the</strong> enemy accord<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong> most likely COA at <strong>the</strong> po<strong>in</strong>t<br />

of <strong>the</strong> execution matrix that is be<strong>in</strong>g rehearsed. The depiction must tie enemy actions to specific terra<strong>in</strong> or to<br />

friendly unit actions.<br />

The BCT S–4 uses time-phased events to develop <strong>the</strong> rehearsal.<br />

Subord<strong>in</strong>ate units provide—<br />

• Location of maneuver units.<br />

• Location and purpose of all known obstacles on <strong>the</strong> battlefield, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g known enemy obstacles.<br />

• Planned locations of friendly FASCAM (family of scatterable m<strong>in</strong>es).<br />

• Location of CSS assets (grids or command po<strong>in</strong>ts).<br />

• Forward aid station (FAS) and makeup.<br />

• Ma<strong>in</strong> aid station (MAS) and makeup.<br />

• Casualty collection po<strong>in</strong>ts (CCPs).<br />

• Nonstandard evacuation locations by type and quantity.<br />

• Ambulance exchange po<strong>in</strong>ts (AXPs) and makeup.<br />

• Routes to and from CCP to FAS/MAS to AXP to level II care.<br />

• Location and amount of classes IIIB (bulk petroleum) and V (ammunition) for emergency resupply <strong>in</strong><br />

TF combat tra<strong>in</strong>s.<br />

• Ma<strong>in</strong>tenance and recovery assets.<br />

• <strong>Logistics</strong> release po<strong>in</strong>ts.<br />

• Radio nets for adm<strong>in</strong>istration and logistics, casualty evacuation, and retransmission (RETRANS).<br />

• Ma<strong>in</strong> supply routes (MSRs) and alternate supply routes (ASRs), to <strong>in</strong>clude “dirty” MSRs/ASRs.<br />

• Casualty estimate for each phase and by type of casualty and if <strong>the</strong>re are enough assets forward to<br />

handle <strong>the</strong> number of estimated casualties.<br />

• Security of combat health support and emergency resupply <strong>in</strong> TF combat tra<strong>in</strong>s.<br />

• Air evacuation priority and radio nets.<br />

• Patient decontam<strong>in</strong>ation kits <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> FAS and MAS.<br />

• Number of passengers <strong>the</strong> BCT can decontam<strong>in</strong>ate with available assets.<br />

• Quantity of water needed at <strong>the</strong> hasty decontam<strong>in</strong>ation po<strong>in</strong>ts.<br />

• Refuel-on-<strong>the</strong>-move (ROM) po<strong>in</strong>t.<br />

• Enemy prisoner of war collection po<strong>in</strong>t.<br />

• Deta<strong>in</strong>ee collection po<strong>in</strong>t.<br />

• Displacement time and triggers for <strong>the</strong> AXPs, forward logistics element (FLE), and brigade support activity.<br />

• Which units have responsibility for evacuation of <strong>the</strong> shapers* <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> BCT area of operations.<br />

• RETRANS assets and location.<br />

• Ground surveillance radar locations.<br />

• Scouts locations.<br />

The recorder restates any changes, coord<strong>in</strong>ation, or clarification directed by <strong>the</strong> BCT executive officer or S–4 and<br />

discusses any issues that arose dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> rehearsal that <strong>the</strong> BCT must answer.<br />

*Shapers refers to units or teams that help <strong>the</strong> maneuver forces shape <strong>the</strong> fight.<br />
