Student Services<br />

<strong>Berklee</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers a number <strong>of</strong> services designed to strengthen the overall<br />

educational experience <strong>of</strong> students by facilitating pr<strong>of</strong>essional, academic, and<br />

personal growth.<br />

Office <strong>of</strong> the Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean <strong>of</strong> Students (921)<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean <strong>of</strong> Students<br />

coordinates many <strong>of</strong> the college <strong>of</strong>fices and services relating to the educational<br />

and daily college life <strong>of</strong> all students.<br />

Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar (921)<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar <strong>of</strong>fers a wide variety <strong>of</strong> services to the <strong>Berklee</strong><br />

community. Many services can now be accessed online through my.berklee.net.<br />

Web services include student course registration and access to online course<br />

schedules, semester grades, and (un<strong>of</strong>ficial) academic transcripts. The Office <strong>of</strong><br />

the Registrar homepage <strong>of</strong>fers downloadable academic requirements for all<br />

major fields <strong>of</strong> study, an online version <strong>of</strong> the current registration manual, and<br />

other helpful student academic information.<br />

The <strong>of</strong>fice is open daily for students and faculty to receive services directly from<br />

staff. Services include enrollment verification, transcript requests, graduation<br />

counseling, transfer credit evaluation (for both new and enrolled students), and<br />

services for formerly enrolled alumni who wish to return to <strong>Berklee</strong>.<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar coordinates student health insurance on campus (for<br />

specific questions regarding use <strong>of</strong> insurance, students should contact<br />

Gallagher-Koster Insurance directly), publishes the registration manual twice<br />

annually, provides enrollment information to applicable parties both internal<br />

and external to <strong>Berklee</strong>, maintains the academic records <strong>of</strong> all alumni and<br />

enrolled students, and provides registration services to most special<br />

(nonmatriculated) programs <strong>of</strong>fered by <strong>Berklee</strong>. The Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar<br />

produces the academic probation and dean’s lists each term. Feedback and<br />

suggestions on services are always welcome.<br />

Counseling and Advising Center (939)<br />

The Counseling and Advising Center is a multipurpose department that <strong>of</strong>fers<br />

a variety <strong>of</strong> support services, including academic advising, first-year advising,<br />

international student advising, personal counseling, and services for students<br />

with disabilities. Staff members are experts in their disciplines who are also<br />

cross-trained so that they can assist with complex situations that require<br />

consulting or collaborating with other team members. The center is accessed via<br />

the third floor <strong>of</strong> 921 Boylston Street. Appointments can be made by calling 617<br />

747-2310 or by speaking with the receptionist at the greeting counter.<br />

Personal Counseling<br />

The Counseling and Advising Center <strong>of</strong>fers free, short-term, confidential<br />

mental health counseling to enrolled students. The choices, conflicts, and<br />

pressures <strong>of</strong> life at college are viewed as developmental processes that at times<br />

require additional support. A team <strong>of</strong> licensed mental health clinicians is<br />

available to assist students with a variety <strong>of</strong> mental health concerns, such as<br />
