• All relevant parties via the publication of a NOTAM, if appropriate.<br />
Pilots shall terminate <strong>CPDLC</strong> connections with the Algiers ACC and use voice<br />
communications until informed by Algiers ACC that the system is again fully functional.<br />
5.3.6 Unexpected avionics system shutdown<br />
In the event of an unexpected avionics data link shutdown, pilots shall inform the Algiers<br />
ACC of the situation using voice.<br />
The voice phraseology to be used shall be:<br />
Pilot<br />
Controller<br />
Data link failed.<br />
Selecting ATC Com Off. Continuing on voice<br />
Roger. Continue on voice<br />
Pilots shall continue to use voice until the functionality of the avionics can be re-established.<br />
5.4 Total Communications Failure<br />
The procedures covering complete communications failure (<strong>CPDLC</strong> and voice) shall be in<br />
accordance with current ICAO procedures.<br />
