Tea
The spectacular Gaudette home in medina, Washington, was the setting April 16
for another magnificent tea. The relaxing afternoon allowed for easy conversation
and a chance to build new friendships as alumnae enjoyed tea and delicious
chicken salad tea sandwiches provided by mud mcHugh ’70 and Classic Catering.
This year, the tea was more celebration than fundraiser after the tremendous
Forest ridge alumnae support of the “Open your Heart: make a Forest ridge
Education Possible” campaign for endowed scholarships that concluded last
December. to that end, those in attendance heard from Forest ridge seniors
Grace lacy-Hansell, Priyanka Nadkarni, morgan Burdick and Annie lundgren,
who shared their experiences at Forest ridge. The girls talked about how they feel
confident, well-educated and ready to make the transition to college. They will be
attending loyola marymount University, Agnes Scott College, and Chapman
University; morgan will attend Seattle University on a Sullivan Scholarship. The
seniors recognize the impact that a Forest ridge education has had on their lives
as they learned to lead and take risks in order to be active participants in whatever
they do. The girls also recognized that without scholarship support, many of their
classmates would not attend Forest ridge.

event, giving alumnae the opportunity to take
part in an age-old Sacred Heart tradition.
Everyone was reluctant for the afternoon to
end…clearly there is something special about
sipping tea with old friends and new!
