Mes Amis “my Friends” magazine is published
in the fall and spring by the Forest ridge
marketing and Communications Office.
Dear Alumnae and Friends of Forest ridge,
Greetings from the beginnings of spring in the Pacific
Northwest where Forest ridge has so much to celebrate!
you would surely be proud of your school and the
accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff, and
your fellow classmates and friends from across the years.
The women from our past who are strong leaders and
enlightened voices across our world today will be followed
by our current talented students who are being educated by an extraordinary faculty
and staff who take seriously their role in forming each student as a Child of the
Sacred Heart. I can assure you the tradition lives on!
Our campaign to increase our scholarship endowment by $15 million was an
unprecedented success due in large part to the generosity of so many of you.
We are quickly realizing a dream we have had for many years—to make a Sacred
Heart education available to more qualified girls. We recognize that as the only
Sacred Heart institution in the Northwest, we have a unique obligation to be sure that
the young women we graduate are young women formed in the Goals and Criteria
who go on to make important contributions to our local communities, whether
Seattle or the Eastside, to our country, and, in the spirit of St. madeleine Sophie, in
our world. While saying we are educating young St. Philippines may sound over the
top, I think you would agree that if you met any of our current students, many of
them embody Philippine’s pioneer spirit in following their dreams.
Thank you for your support of Forest ridge School of the Sacred Heart. your
generosity, prayers, kind words, and desire to speak highly of your alma mater, are
important contributions to the enormous success we experience today. you are a
vital link to our treasured past to our historic future—don’t underestimate how
influential your words are when you speak of your school . . . or how grateful we are
to you for making us who we are today.
