Ref 138 Administrator/Coordinator Age 21+
Organise, manage and attend committee events including transport
arrangements, correspondence. Organise volunteers. Take and deal
with telephone calls and emails. Manage and maintain member
database and event spreadsheets. Liaise with Secretary, Chairman
and Editor.
Ref 170 St Andrew’s Fairtrade Enterprise (SAFE) Manager Age 18+
Need a new volunteer manager(s) to run SAFE with assistance of
volunteers- job share considered. The role requires 15-18 hours a
week, some from home. To manage the shop and maintain stock,
check weekly sales, order and pricing new stock, check stock datelife
& rotation, preparing Sunday special displays and promotions.
184 Retail Volunteer - Kempston Furniture Store Age 14+
To assist in a wide range of activities including providing strong
customer service, serving customers and successfully operating
the till, merchandising stock. Keeping store clean and tidy, stock
preparation, sorting and pricing.
Ref 177 River Care clean up days
Rivercare clean up events are organised throughout the year by
the Pride in Bedford Team to make the river, its banks and the
surrounding areas cleaner. Volunteers will meet at the registration
point to fill in a quick sign in sheet, enabling the team to issue the
correct equipment required. This is a family event- under 16’s must
be accompanied.
Ref 35 Volunteer Mentor
Mentors are required to support people with a range of mental
health problems. You will be asked to mentor in the East Mid Beds
area. Full training will be given. Mentors also assist individuals to
engage in physical activity. We are particularly in need of the over
56 volunteers and anyone who is available in the day.
Ref 77 URGENT Headway - Rehabilitation Assistant Age 16+
Rehabilitation assistants coach and train, supporting the clients to
develop skills they have lost due to their head injury, helping with
speech therapy, cognitive exercises, massage, computer tuition and
other activities. Urgent for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They will also
need to give feedback to the staff about how the clients progress
in sessions.
Ref 11 To assist with coffee morning for older people Age 18+
To assist older people with tea and biscuits at the card afternoon
and to join in. Dame Alice is a happy place to be, and you will find
helping the older person very rewarding, improving the lives of
older people and getting them out of their own flats and mixing
with others. Thursday afternoons 2.30pm-4pm.
