(4) Minimum Instrument Hours (Actual or Simulated).<br />

(5) Maximum Daily Student Activities (Aircraft or<br />

Simulator). Students shall not exceed two activities during one<br />

duty day.<br />

(6) Minimum Student Turn-Times. One hour is required<br />

between debriefing of an event and the brief for a follow-on<br />

event or trainer event. This does not apply to out-and-in or<br />

cross-country profiles. However, the instructor shall ensure<br />

adequate debrief and brief time is allocated.<br />

(7) Crew Day. The period from the beginning of the<br />

student’s first event or official duty of the day until<br />

completion of the last event of the day, including associated<br />

paperwork and debrief. Crew day shall not exceed 12 hours.<br />

(8) Crew Rest. A minimum of 12 hours shall elapse<br />

between the conclusion of the student’s last scheduled event of<br />

the day (including associated debrief) and his first scheduled<br />

instructional event of the following day. After six consecutive<br />

scheduled days, students shall receive two consecutive days off.<br />

b. Maneuver Demonstrations. Maneuver demonstrations will<br />

be accomplished as required.<br />

c. Airspace Utilization. Conduct contact events in<br />

designated areas. These events may be out-and-ins with<br />

Operations Officer approval.<br />

d. Aircraft/Simulator Interchangeability. Simulator events<br />

may not be substituted for the flight events. Simulator events<br />

may be substituted in the applicable aircraft when the simulator<br />

is unavailable for extended periods of time.
