First step - Creating objects

The word "object" refers to all the items that you can place on your pages, such as backgrounds, text, pictures,
videos and so on.
To place objects on your pages, you use the Insert tab on the main menu (called "the ribbon").
Click the Insert tab.
You add an object to the page by clicking once with the left mouse button on the corresponding icon. The mouse
pointer changes depending on your selection and you can now define (drag) a rectangular shape on the page for
your object. The procedure is the same for all objects except for the Text object, the Polygon object and the
Animation Path object.
We are going to start by placing a rectangle on the page:
Click the Rectangle icon in the Illustrations group.
Move the mouse pointer back on the page.
Hold the left mouse button down and drag the pointer across the page to create a frame for your rectangle.
Let go of the mouse button to complete the rectangle.
The Format tab specific to the Rectangle object opens at the right of the ribbon, letting you modify the
properties of the rectangle.
Browse through the style gallery, checking the effect of each style on your rectangle as you move the
pointer.
Once you have found a style you like, click it to apply it to the rectangle.
You can use the other options of the Style group to apply more visual effects to the rectangle, but for now we
will leave it as it is.
Now place a headline at the top of the page:
Click the Insert tab again.
Click the Headline icon in the Text group.
Move the mouse pointer to the top left corner of the page.
Hold the left mouse button down and drag the pointer across the page to create a frame for your headline.
The Headline Object dialog appears.
Enter "My first Mediator presentation" and click OK.
The Format tab specific to the Headline object opens at the right of the ribbon, letting you modify the properties
of the headline.
