Greek trai<strong>to</strong>rs at his Court, <strong>to</strong> spur him on, careless<br />

what misery <strong>the</strong>y caused <strong>the</strong>ir own country, so only<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir own base revenges were gratified. Thus <strong>the</strong><br />

Peisistratidae sought reinstatement at A<strong>the</strong>ns, and De-<br />

maratus at Sparta ;<br />

<strong>the</strong> general effect being, that Xerxes<br />
