\sqbullet, and \ast is equivalent to *. \asterisk produces the same glyph as<br />
\ast, but as an ordinary symbol, not a binary operator. Similarly, \bigast produces<br />
a large-operator version of the \Asterisk binary operator, and \bigcoast<br />
