Featured Horse of the Month…Sharavogue
Malachi’s horse of the month is the handsome 17.2 hand Irish Sport
Horse gelding, Sharavogue. “Vogue” is owned and loved by beginner
instructor, Melissa Johnson, who is presently showing him First Level in
Dressage. Vogue has successfully shown through Second Level under the
training of Ellie Scofield. The team of Missy and Vogue are this year’s
PHA Training Level Champions. Before his Dressage training got
underway, Vogue competitively showed through the highest level of
jumpers. At 19 years of age, Vogue is still very fit, strong and sound. Missy
dreams of showing Vogue in Third Level before his retirement.
4-H Club…
It was announced at the June meeting that Mrs. Cara Garcia would accept
the role of organizational leader. Cara will be replacing Jeannine Weiss who
will be moving to North
Carolina in the near
future. Our club is very
thankful that Cara has
offered her talents for
this vast position! We
are also grateful for
Jeannine’s efforts in
getting the Malachi 4-H
club underway.
their Breyer horses
Summer camp proved to be a great time for all the
junior equestrians. Friends were made, new riding
disciplines were learned and beginners enjoyed the
thrill of their first ride. Counselor Heather Bell
taught some of the older campers how to make
tack and accessories for their Breyer horses. The
attention to detail was amazing. Parents were
excited that their children were inspired to create
something so intricate and creative that exhibited
their love of horses. Great job Heather!
