Find a rock on <strong>the</strong> beach. Turn it over carefully. What’s<br />
your hand <strong>the</strong>re. How does it feel? Now put your hand on <strong>the</strong> sand next t<br />
<strong>the</strong> rock. How does that feel? Do you know why some animals live<br />
rocks? Now put <strong>the</strong> rock back carefully.<br />
WIND WATCH<br />
Which way is <strong>the</strong> wind blowing? Wet your finger and hold it up in <strong>the</strong> wind<br />
<strong>to</strong> help you decide. What o<strong>the</strong>r signs can you use <strong>to</strong> tell which way <strong>the</strong> wind<br />
is blowing?<br />
DRIFTWOOD STORY<br />
Find a piece of driftwood. Look closely at it and try <strong>to</strong> figure out where it<br />
came from. How many sea creatures have watched this piece of wood going<br />
by? Tell us a s<strong>to</strong>ry about your piece of driftwood.<br />
FISH FIND<br />
Can you catch a little fish? If you can, tell what shape it is. Why is it that<br />
articular shape? Put it in a container and watch it swim. How many fins<br />
does it have? Does it open and close its mouth? How does it brea<strong>the</strong>?<br />
(through its gills). Give a name <strong>to</strong> your fish. Then say goodbye and put it<br />
