Music 23: War Dance<br />
The war dance continues. The lights flash. The pace of the music quickens. The whole scene<br />
suddenly erupts and rises to a wild and noisy climax, culminating in a repeat of the chorus<br />
Black-out<br />
SCENE 5<br />
The Lost Boys’ underground hideout and the clearing above. The tree trunk can be seen clearly<br />
as the entrance to the underground hideout<br />
Music 24: Instrumental<br />
The Lost Boys, John and Michael are seated underground around Wendy who is just finishing a<br />
story<br />
Wendy … And so the prince marries Snow White and everyone lives happily ever after.<br />
Boys Hooray!<br />
Wendy (clapping her hands) Right! Bedtime, my children.<br />
Boys Oh no, Mother! One more story! Not bedtime yet.<br />
Wendy No fuss now! Settle down all of you!<br />
The Lost Boys, John and Michael groan but reluctantly agree to go to bed which means finding<br />
their various allotted spaces in the underground home and curling up on the floor<br />
Wendy picks up a needle and thread and begins to sew<br />
The Lights dim on the underground home and come up on the clearing in the forest above<br />
The voices of <strong>Peter</strong> and the Braves are heard offstage<br />
<strong>Peter</strong> (off) Hail, warriors!<br />
Braves (off) Hail, Paiter Pun!<br />
<strong>Peter</strong> and Tiger Lily enter the clearing<br />
<strong>Peter</strong> The Great White Father is glad to see the native warriors in forest protecting his wigwam<br />
from the pirates.<br />
Tiger Lily Me Tiger Lily … me his velly nice friend. <strong>Peter</strong> <strong>Pan</strong> once save me from the pirates<br />
many moons pass. Me no let pirates hurt him or boys. Braves have stayed in forest and will guard<br />
his home for many more moons away.
