Act 342, <strong>Public</strong> AcLs of Michigan. 1939. as amended, which contract provides<br />
among o<strong>the</strong>r things that said County will acquire certain sanitary<br />
sewer improvements and will <strong>is</strong>sue its tends to finance <strong>the</strong> cost of <strong>the</strong><br />
same for said Township, and said Township will pay to said County all<br />
sums necessary to retire <strong>the</strong> principal of and interest on said bonds The<br />
aforesaid improvements arc described generally as <strong>the</strong> Byron Creek<br />
Trunk Extension, <strong>the</strong> Plymouth Hills Subdiv<strong>is</strong>ion facilities, <strong>the</strong> Tonqu<strong>is</strong>h<br />
Creek Trunk Extension and <strong>the</strong> Sly Drain Trunk P^xtension.<br />
TOWNSHIP'S CONTRACT OBLIGATION<br />
It <strong>is</strong> presently contemplated that said bonds will be in <strong>the</strong> principal<br />
amount of $2,800,000.00, will mature serially from 1982 to 2002. inclusive,<br />
and will bear interest not exceeding 8 r r per annum on <strong>the</strong> outstanding<br />
principal balance, subject to rev<strong>is</strong>ion in accordance with terms of <strong>the</strong><br />
above contract. By virtue of said contract, <strong>the</strong> Township will be obligated<br />
to pay to <strong>the</strong> County all sums required to meet debt service paymenLs in<br />
accordance with <strong>the</strong> above or any rev<strong>is</strong>ed schedule as such payments fall<br />
due, ancf will pledge as security for such obligation its full faith and credit<br />
PURSUANT TO : SUCH PLEDGE. THE TOWNSHIP WILL BE<br />
REQUIRED TO LEVY AD VALOREM TAXES ON ALL TAXABLE<br />
PROPERTY WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES, WITHOUT LIMITATION AS<br />
TO RATE OR AMOUNT AND IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER TAXES<br />
THE TOWNSHIP MAY BE AUTHORIZED TO LEVY BUT NOT MORE<br />
THAN THE RATE OR AMOUNT SUFFICIENT THEREFOR. TO THE<br />
EXTENT NECESSARY TO MAKE THE REQUIRED PAYMENTS TO<br />
THE COUNTY IF OTHER FUNDS FOR SUCH PURPOSE ARE NOT<br />
AVAILABLE.<br />
RIGHT OF REFERENDUM<br />
The aforesaid Contract will be executed by <strong>the</strong> Township and WILL<br />
BE EFFECTIVE WITHOUT VOTE OF THE ELECTORS. AS PERMIT-<br />
TED BY LAW, UNLESS A PETITION REQUESTING AN ELECTION ON<br />
THE EFFECTIVENESS THEREOF. SIGNED BY NOT LESS THAN l(Fr<br />
OF THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE TOWNSHIP. IS FILED<br />
