The point that Tom is making about<br />
transferring surgery, that is new. I think what you have<br />
highlighted on the middle page of our document here is there<br />
are one or two typos, okay, because I have just highlighted,<br />
since you raised it, two or three things where the word says ‘no<br />
change’ <strong>and</strong> it should mean ‘change’.<br />
DR NICK DUNN: Can I just add to some<br />
of that Jackie, <strong>and</strong> I have to say that from the last time I spoke<br />
to you I think if I’d thought I’d be sitting shoulder to shoulder<br />
with Helen <strong>and</strong> Tom you could have knocked me over with a<br />
feather, so I’m kind of a poacher turned gamekeeper at the<br />

In saying that my position has always been<br />
to make the best of what we have got locally with the interests<br />
of patients in mind <strong>and</strong> maintaining patient safety <strong>and</strong> I’m a<br />

To just kind of flesh out what you referred<br />
to with respect to the level of, or the numbers of patients that<br />
we are likely to be able to deal with acutely at the Vale of<br />
Leven, we actually have done additional work over the past<br />
two or three months around that <strong>and</strong> I’m fairly confident that<br />
these are figures that we could see in practicality being seen<br />
<strong>and</strong> cared for at the Vale of Leven.<br />
