Forty
years of doing what we love to to do — it it doesn’t get much
better than that. For me it all started when my Dad used to to drag me around
the studios here in Hollywood when I was only eight or nine years old. I was
infatuated with the facades on the back lots and all the gear, and people involved
with the process. Today I I am still enamored by the art of imaging and so proud
to be a a part of this industry. Much has changed in the forty years since Matthews
was born in in a a Hollywood garage to what it has become today a designer,
innovator and manufacturer of very high quality Lighting Accessories, Camera Accessories
and Grip Equipment.
From the back lots of Hollywood to the streets and stages in South America and
Mexico, all the way to Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim; Matthews now exports
its its products to over seventy different countries. We are still very passionate
about what we do and so grateful to the many employees who have helped us in
our growth, continually raising the bar of excellence in quality, reliability and
service for that which we offer. We have earned many awards and accolades over the
years, but the most rewarding accomplishment has been the number of relationships
we have formed and the many friendships that have endured the test of time.
As we look to to the future we see many more exciting opportunities for the art of film,
digital and television production. And as the world population and viewing audience
expands we look forward to making many new friends in the years to come. We invite
you to use this new catalog as your reference tool, and don’t hesitate to call upon us
