Open Fall Yearling Simmental Replacement Heifers
All of our Simmental heifers are sired by Long’s Shear Pleasure, Stetson, and Upgrade, each of which has been discussed in depth at other places in
the sale catalog, so we will not bother with sire group introductions. Several of the Shear Pleasure heifers are really stout and read great on paper, but
probably carry too much white to interest Purebred Simmental breeders. These heifers will work great bred to Angus in a SimAngus breeding program
and they are the right kind to use in a club calf breeding program. The three Stetson daughters are all three very nice females, a little refi ned as is normal
for Stetson daughters, but they are good, sound Simmental heifers. The fi nal heifer is an Upgrade daughter that is the result of some frozen embryos
we purchased. She is absolutely not in the sale because we didn’t like her. It’s more like we had to sell one to pay for the embryos and we feel she will
fi nd a lot of friends.

This heifer is from the embryo fl ush to our really good 7241T blaze-face Sure Bet cow and she is pictured in the Purebred Simmental sale bull section of this catalog. She is powerful in
her muscle and scanned a 109 ratio for REA. She ranks in the top 2% of the breed for YW EPD, top 10% for MM EPD, top 5% for YG EPD, top 1% for REA, and top 1% for TI, so she has
tremendous genetic value, her only negative is some extra white on her legs and belly. It will be a negative to some and not for others.
