Our bred female offering this year will be the biggest improvement of the entire
sale offering. We have never had bred heifers of this quality in our sale. Our
goal has been to offer bred heifers just as good as our open yearling heifers
and it has taken us a couple years to achieve that goal, but we feel comfortable
that goal has been reached this year. Many of the bred females this year are
seedstock breeder quality genetics.
These heifers have been managed exactly the same as our bred replacement
heifers. They have been running on KY-31 fescue and common Bermuda pasture
their whole life. The only supplemental feed they have gotten since they were
bred has been hay when needed, mineral, and the BC Calving and Rebreeding
tubs. They will be in excellent condition for calving and the way they are
uddering up right now, calving season will not be long after sale time.

breeding program in the industry. All she needs to do is prove that she can produce as predicted and she can stand in any front pasture donor pen in the country.
