GAF warrants that the complete GAF Weather Stopper roof system will remain free from manufacturing defects and<br />
application errors in the Weather Stopper roof system or covered flashings that adversely affect their performance. If<br />
shingles were sold with Algae-EaterJ protection, GAF warrants that blue-green algae will not cause a pronounced<br />
discoloration. GAF Weather Stopper roof system includes GAF roof shingles, ridge cap shingles, attic ventilation<br />
products and underlayments. Misapplication of the Weather Stopper products and flashings at valleys, dormers,<br />
chimneys and plumbing vents are also covered. (See Special Features/Conditions)<br />

After 15 years, warranty is reduced by 1/600 for each month of service from date of installation (so that at the<br />
beginning of the 16 th year, warranty is reduced by 180/600).<br />
Timberline Select 40: After 12 years, warranty is reduced by 1/480 for each month of service from date of<br />
installation (so that at the beginning of the 13 th year, warranty is reduced by 144/480).<br />
Timberline 30, Marquis Weathermax: After 12 years, warranty is reduced by 1/360 for each month of service from<br />
date of installation (so that at the beginning of the 13 th year, warranty is reduced by 144/360).<br />
Royal Sovereign, Jumbo Royal Sovereign: After 12 years, warrant is reduced by 1/300 for each month of service<br />
from the date of installation (so that at the beginning of the 13 th year, warranty is reduced by (144/300).<br />
Proration Schedule for Weather Stopper products where “Lifetime” shingles are installed on structures other<br />
than single family residences: Years of service/proration adjustment as follows [years/%]): 16/75; 17-18/70; 19-20/65;<br />
21-22/60; 23-24/55; 25-26/50; 27-28/45; 29-30/40; 31-32/35; 33-34/30; 35-40/25; 41-50/20; 51-lifetime/10<br />
For Manufacturing Defects: For the first 10, 15 or 50 years (depending upon the shingle type or building structure), if any<br />
part of the roof system is found to have manufacturing defects or there are application errors, GAF will arrange to have roof<br />
repaired or recovered or, at its sole option, will provide replacement <strong>roofing</strong> products and reimbursement for the full reasonable<br />
cost of labor and other <strong>materials</strong> to repair or recover roof, including flashings at valleys, dormers, chimneys, and plumbing<br />
vents. After 10, 15 or 50 year period, the repair or recover cost which GAF will pay and the <strong>roofing</strong> products to be provided, will<br />
be reduced to reflect the amount of use received.<br />
For Workmanship Defects: For the first 12, 15 or 20 years (depending upon the shingle type or building structure), if during<br />
the warranty term for misapplication any part of the GAFMC Weather Stopper system or covered flashings to have application<br />
errors, GAFMC will arrange to have the roof repaired or recovered or, at its sole option, will provide with replacement <strong>roofing</strong><br />
products or components and reimburse the full reasonable cost of labor and other <strong>materials</strong> to repair or recover the roof,<br />
including flashings at valleys, dormers, chimneys, plumbing vents, and around GAFMC skylights. The cost of labor to tear off<br />
some of all of the Weather Stopper Systems and disposal are included, if necessary to repair the roof.<br />
For Algae Discoloration: During the first year, GAF will contribute either the cost of cleaning shingles or repairing or replacing<br />
shingles up to the maximum of the original installed cost of the affected shingles. For the 9 year balance of the 10 year<br />
warranty period, GAF=s maximum contribution will be reduced by the amount of use received (See Item #7).<br />
