Justice Stevens said:
“The Chief Justice is unable to be present for this session, but will
participate in the consideration and decision of the cases on the basis
of the briefs and the transcripts of the oral arguments.

and filed with the Clerk, and they will not be otherwise announced.”
Certiorari—Summary Disposition
No. 02–121. Joseph Klauser, Warden v. William L. Gray. On petition
for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for the
Ninth Circuit. Petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated,
and case remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for
the Ninth Circuit for further consideration in light of Early v. Packer,
537 U. S. ––– (2002).
No. 02–5161. Luis Torres-Soria, Petitioner v. United States. On petition
for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for
the Fifth Circuit. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma
pauperis and petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated,
and case remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth
Circuit for further consideration in light of Alabama v. Shelton, 535
U. S. 654 (2002).
