Writ of certiorari in No. 01–593 dismissed, and judgment in No. 01–594
affirmed. Opinion by Justice Kennedy. Opinion by Justice Breyer, with
whom Justice O’Connor joins, concurring in part and dissenting in part.
No. 02–258. Susan Jinks, Petitioner v. Richland County, South Carolina,
et al. On writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
Judgment reversed, and case remanded to the Supreme Court of
South Carolina for further proceedings not inconsistent with the opinion
of this Court. Opinion by Justice Scalia. Concurring opinion by
Justice Souter.
No. 01–1435. Clackamas Gastroenterology Associates, P. C., Petitioner
v. Deborah Wells. On writ of certiorari to the United States
Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Judgment reversed, and case
remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
for further proceedings in conformity with the opinion of this Court.
