xiv) RTD & BTD ( PT100 type) − All motors shall be provided <strong>with</strong> Bearing<br />

(DE & NDE) temperature detectors <strong>and</strong> 6<br />

nos. stator winding temperature detectors,<br />

RTDs <strong>for</strong> monitoring alarm <strong>and</strong> trip<br />

conditions. RTD's shall be of PT100 type<br />

(duplex). − Analog input cards shall be<br />

provided in PLC <strong>for</strong> online monitoring of<br />

bearing (DE & NDE) <strong>and</strong> winding<br />

temperature of HT motors above 1000 KW .<br />

− For HT motors, temperature of each RTD<br />

(<strong>for</strong> winding / bearing) shall be wired to<br />

PLC system <strong>and</strong> limit value contacts <strong>for</strong><br />

alarm <strong>and</strong> tripping shall be generated in the<br />

PLC along <strong>with</strong> the display of all parameters<br />

of the motor including the winding <strong>and</strong><br />

bearing temperature.<br />

xv) Vibration monitoring − Vibration monitoring (online) shall be<br />

provided at the DE end of motor bearing <strong>for</strong><br />

motors of ratings 1000 kW <strong>and</strong> above <strong>and</strong><br />

it should be connected to PLC <strong>for</strong> online<br />

monitoring .<br />

xvi) Paint shade − Light grey , shade no. 631 as per IS 5<br />

3.0 Terminal box<br />

i) Protection IP -55<br />

ii) Type Phase segregated<br />

iii) Location As per requirement 1 no. each on opposite<br />

sides of motor.<br />

iv) Winding star point − Winding star point shall be kept outside<br />

in the motor <strong>for</strong> more than 200 KW HT<br />

motor <strong>and</strong> other important HT motor . − In<br />

case no differential protection is required,<br />

star point of the winding may be <strong>for</strong>med<br />

inside the neutral terminal box to be<br />

provided on one side of the motor. The<br />

phase segregated terminal box shall be<br />

placed on other side of the motor.<br />

v) Suitability − Termination of XLPE cables <strong>with</strong> heat<br />

shrinkable cable end seals. − Each terminal<br />

box to have two inlets to accommodate any<br />

parallel cables as required.<br />

vi) Reversible To suit cable entry from Top / Bottom<br />

vii) Earthing stud<br />

Inside TB <strong>for</strong> protective earth conductor<br />

termination<br />

viii) No. of terminal boxes Separate <strong>for</strong> Space heaters, RTDs / BTDs ,<br />

Vibration monitor etc<br />

ix) Fault <strong>with</strong>st<strong>and</strong> (Min.) Rated Short circuit level of the system<br />

voltage <strong>for</strong> 0.25 sec<br />

4.0 Cooling TEFC / CACA / CACW CACW system shall<br />

be complete <strong>with</strong> temperature <strong>and</strong> pressure<br />

monitoring devices.<br />
