Officers Commanding H.M.A. Ships are notified that<br />

Daily Mail Notices are received at the following Naval<br />

Offices, and are availahle for the Senior Naval Officer of<br />

any of H.M.A. Ships in port:—<br />

H.M.A. Naval Establishments. G-arden Tsland,<br />

Sydney.<br />

H.M.A. Naval Depot, "Williamstown.<br />

Naval Staff Office, Brisbane.<br />

Naval Staff Office, Port Adelaide.<br />

ROYAL NAVY RANKS AND RATINGS LENT TEMPORARILY<br />

1914.<br />

TO THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY AND DISCHARGED<br />

ON TERMINATION OF ENGAGEMENT.<br />

With reference to clause 3 of <strong>Navy</strong> Order 45/1913, the<br />

following directions are to he followed when an Officer or<br />

Man, whose period of service in the "<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Navy</strong><br />

has terminated, is returning to the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Navy</strong> or is taking<br />

his discharge to the shore:—<br />

(2) A Form, A.S. 1031z, showing full particulars of<br />

his pay, deferred pay, &c, accounts on the<br />

current quarterly ledger is in every case to he<br />

forwarded without delay direct to the Director<br />

of Nnvy Accounts.<br />

(3) Additional information as hereunder is to be inserted<br />

in column 5 in the case of each rating:—<br />

Whether he is:—<br />

(a) An Active Service Rating and if in his<br />

first engagement, completing time for<br />

pension, non-continuous service, or<br />

has completed any of those engagements<br />

;<br />

(b) "<strong>Royal</strong> Fleet Reserve Rating, and to<br />

which class he belongs; or<br />

(c) Pensioner or Ex-<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Navy</strong> Rating.<br />

(4) Class A of <strong>Royal</strong> Meet Reserve consists of those<br />

ratings who have completed time for pension in<br />

the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Navy</strong> and have engaged to serve in<br />

the <strong>Royal</strong> Fleet Reserve.<br />

(5) Class B consists of those ratings who have completed<br />

twelve years or more Active Service, hut<br />

have not completed time for pension, and<br />

have engaged to serve in the <strong>Royal</strong> Fleet<br />
