[Navy Orders 95, 96, and 97 of 1914.
GUNNERY DRILL BOOK. N.O. 95
It is notified for the information of all concerned, that a 1914.
revised edition of the Gunnery Drill Book, Volumes I. and ,
II., has been issued.
2. Commanding Officers of H.M.A. Ships and Establishments
are to report forthwith to the Naval Secretary the
number of copies required in accordance with Established
Allowances of Books of Reference. (D.S. 14/631.)
TEST FOR FIREDAMP, ETC.—ENCLOSURE No. 60 TO
GUARD BOOK.
It is notified for the information of all concerned that an
Enclosure, No. 60, " How to Test for the Presence of Firedamp
and other Combustible Gases and Vapours," has been
added to the " Guard Book containing Special Memoranda."
Advance copies of this Enclosure will be supplied by the
Naval Store Officer, Williamstown, to all H.M.A. Ships and
Establishments.
2. One copy of these instructions is to be inserted in each
Steam Manual and each Stoker's Manual, and Commanding
Officers of all H.M.A. Ships and Establishments are to report
to the Naval Secretary the number of copies required for this

It is notified for the information of all concerned that the 1914,
following forms have been adopted for use in the Royal
Australian Navy: —
1. A first supply of the undermentioned forms will be
made, when available, by the Naval Store Officer, Williamstown,
without demand:—•
A.S. 219.—" Return of all Ratings absent) on sailing."
