GUNNERY DRILL BOOK. N.O. 95<br />

It is notified for the information of all concerned, that a 1914.<br />

revised edition of the Gunnery Drill Book, Volumes I. and ,<br />

II., has been issued.<br />

2. Commanding Officers of H.M.A. Ships and Establishments<br />

are to report forthwith to the Naval Secretary the<br />

number of copies required in accordance with Established<br />

Allowances of Books of Reference. (D.S. 14/631.)<br />

TEST FOR FIREDAMP, ETC.—ENCLOSURE No. 60 TO<br />

GUARD BOOK.<br />

It is notified for the information of all concerned that an<br />

Enclosure, No. 60, " How to Test for the Presence of Firedamp<br />

and other Combustible Gases and Vapours," has been<br />

added to the " Guard Book containing Special Memoranda."<br />

Advance copies of this Enclosure will be supplied by the<br />

Naval Store Officer, Williamstown, to all H.M.A. Ships and<br />

Establishments.<br />

2. One copy of these instructions is to be inserted in each<br />

Steam Manual and each Stoker's Manual, and Commanding<br />

Officers of all H.M.A. Ships and Establishments are to report<br />

to the Naval Secretary the number of copies required for this<br />

It is notified for the information of all concerned that the 1914,<br />

following forms have been adopted for use in the <strong>Royal</strong><br />

<strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Navy</strong>: —<br />

1. A first supply of the undermentioned forms will be<br />

made, when available, by the Naval Store Officer, Williamstown,<br />

without demand:—•<br />

A.S. 219.—" Return of all Ratings absent) on sailing."<br />
