This document has been prepared under requirements of the Convention of Biological Diversity and involves current status of biological diversity in the territory of Azerbaijan Republic and factors impacted upon it. The report has been drafted in the presence of all concerned parties and it based upon the opinions and proposals of the related specialists. Therefore, a deep gratitude is expressed to authors staff of the First National Report on the Convention of Biological Diversity which plays as a framework document, for preparation of the Second National Report on the Convention of Biological Diversity. Views and standpoints suggested in this collection express opinions of the authors and could not coincide with opinions of the United Nations or the United Nations Development Programme.
