RESUMO A <strong>in</strong>cubação é fun<strong>da</strong>mental para a manutenção e expansão <strong>da</strong> coturnicultura. Esta pesquisa objetivou estu<strong>da</strong>r fatores que <strong>in</strong>fluenciam sobre desempenho <strong>da</strong> <strong>in</strong>cubação de <strong>ovo</strong>s de codornas: <strong>temperatura</strong>, umi<strong>da</strong>de e <strong>vac<strong>in</strong>ação</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>ovo</strong>. Foram realizados três experimentos. O primeiro verificou os efeitos <strong>da</strong> <strong>temperatura</strong> de <strong>in</strong>cubação sobre a eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de, peso ao nascer, tempo de nascimento e mortali<strong>da</strong>de embrionária. 800 <strong>ovo</strong>s foram divididos em oito grupos e <strong>in</strong>cubados em diferentes <strong>temperatura</strong>s (34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 e 41ºC). As demais condições foram idênticas para todos os grupos, 60% de umi<strong>da</strong>de relativa e viragem a ca<strong>da</strong> 2 horas. No segundo verificou-se os efeitos <strong>da</strong> umi<strong>da</strong>de durante a <strong>in</strong>cubação de <strong>ovo</strong>s de codornas japonesas sobre a eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de, per<strong>da</strong> de peso do <strong>ovo</strong>, peso ao nascer e mortali<strong>da</strong>de embrionária. 300 <strong>ovo</strong>s foram divididos em três tratamentos: umi<strong>da</strong>de baixa (36,05%), <strong>in</strong>termediária (52,25%) e eleva<strong>da</strong> (76,50%). As demais condições foram idênticas para todos os grupos, 37,5°C de <strong>temperatura</strong> e viragem a ca<strong>da</strong> 30 m<strong>in</strong>utos. O terceiro experimento avaliou os efeitos dos procedimentos de <strong>vac<strong>in</strong>ação</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>ovo</strong> na <strong>in</strong>cubação dos <strong>ovo</strong>s. Utilizou-se um del<strong>in</strong>eamento fatorial 4x4 com 17 tratamentos (4 dias de <strong>in</strong>jeção x 4 protocolos de <strong>in</strong>jeção, mais um grupo controle). As <strong>in</strong>jeções foram realiza<strong>da</strong>s nos dias 0, 5, 10 ou 15 de <strong>in</strong>cubação. Em ca<strong>da</strong> dia, os <strong>ovo</strong>s foram <strong>in</strong>jetados com 4 protocolos diferentes: <strong>in</strong>jeção de soro fisiológico com ou sem ve<strong>da</strong>ção <strong>da</strong> casca e <strong>in</strong>jeção <strong>da</strong> vac<strong>in</strong>a viva <strong>da</strong> doença de Newcastle (DN) com soro ou diluente <strong>in</strong>dustrial. Os <strong>ovo</strong>s foram <strong>in</strong>cubados a 37,5°C e 60% UR. Todos os <strong>ovo</strong>s e codornas nasci<strong>da</strong>s foram pesados. Os <strong>ovo</strong>s não eclodidos foram submetidos ao embriodiagnóstico. As codornas nasci<strong>da</strong>s foram submeti<strong>da</strong>s à coleta de sangue para mensuração de anticorpos contra o vírus <strong>da</strong> DN. Os resultados mostraram que a eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de foi maior para os <strong>ovo</strong>s <strong>in</strong>cubados a 37 e 38ºC; com 76,67 e 80,76%, respectivamente. Os <strong>ovo</strong>s <strong>in</strong>cubados a 34ºC não eclodiram, a 35 e 41ºC apresentaram eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de muito baixa. As outras <strong>temperatura</strong>s proporcionaram eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de entre 50,33 e 57,73%. Os pesos ao nascer foram elevados nos grupos <strong>in</strong>cubados a 38-41°C em relação a 35-37°C. Observou-se uma relação <strong>in</strong>versamente proporcional de <strong>temperatura</strong> e tempo de <strong>in</strong>cubação até 39°C. Os embriões foram resistentes a altas <strong>temperatura</strong>s até 40°C na fase <strong>in</strong>icial <strong>da</strong> <strong>in</strong>cubação, já nos estágios f<strong>in</strong>ais com altas <strong>temperatura</strong>s (39-41°C) houve elevados índices de mortali<strong>da</strong>de. Os <strong>ovo</strong>s <strong>in</strong>cubados em baixa umi<strong>da</strong>de apresentaram alta eclodibili<strong>da</strong>de (79%) quando comparados aos <strong>in</strong>cubados em umi<strong>da</strong>de <strong>in</strong>termediária e eleva<strong>da</strong>. A per<strong>da</strong> de peso dos <strong>ovo</strong>s foi, respectivamente, 11,96%; 8,94%; e 4,89% para baixa, <strong>in</strong>termediária e eleva<strong>da</strong> umi<strong>da</strong>de de <strong>in</strong>cubação. O peso ao nascer foi <strong>in</strong>fluenciado pelas diferentes umi<strong>da</strong>des de <strong>in</strong>cubação. A <strong>in</strong>oculação em si (soro com/sem ve<strong>da</strong>ção) não foi prejudicial para os <strong>ovo</strong>s com 10 e 15 dias de <strong>in</strong>cubação. Verificou-se que a <strong>vac<strong>in</strong>ação</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>ovo</strong> com o vírus vivo <strong>da</strong> DN (cepa HB1) não é recomen<strong>da</strong><strong>da</strong> para <strong>ovo</strong>s férteis de codorna em nenhuma i<strong>da</strong>de do embrião, devido aos elevados índices de mortali<strong>da</strong>de embrionária e pouca resposta de anticorpos após o nascimento.
