Getting to the centre
A taxi to the city centre costs
about 10-14 lev(€5-7). It takes
approximately 15 minutes depending
on the traffic. Make sure you select
one with clearly marked rates on the
front window. A single ticket is from
1 lev (€0.50) to 2.30 lev (€1.15).
Buses operate every 15 minutes every
day from 5.45am to 11pm. Tickets
may be purchased from the ticketcollector
in every bus..

City suggestions
Déjà vu (142 Bratya Miladinovi
Boulevard, +359 (0)52 63 1817) is
a two-level café restaurant with 100
seats, but it’s perfect for catching
up with friends and a recognisable
meeting place. There’s a summer
garden, with furniture of natural
materials.The underground floor has
a bar atmosphere for the late hours.
Stereo Club is at 19 Tsaribrod Ulitsa.
For nightowls, a hip-hop & reggae
underground club with DJ parties
almost every night. The atmosphere is
like an MTV gangsta video.
The menu is basically cocktails,
alcohol and soft drinks.
And finally…
For something very unusual, talk
a stroll through Notable Cities of
Bulgaria Alley. This structure is
completely made of soil, taken from
historical and famous places from all
over the country! You can find it next
to the famous Sea Garden.

and sit on the terrace with a stunning
view of the pretty Old Town. Tasty

meals in splendid Tuscan-yellow
surroundings, in this cosy restaurant.

For over 50 years the hand-in-glove
puppet maestros at Lele Puppet

for adults and children. Radvilos
Palace (Vilniaus 24, www.ldm.lt) has
an art collection from the Renaissance
to the 20th Century including Goyas
and Rembrandts.
