Artist Tom Shannon is<br />
fascinated by levitation. His<br />
paintings are a cacophony of<br />
colour created with a special<br />
pendulum of his own design<br />
which swings freely above<br />
the canvas, spouting out jets<br />
of pigment from six radiocontrolled<br />
paint guns. His<br />
work has featured in top<br />
galleries across the globe,<br />
ever since his debut at New<br />
York’s Museum of Modern Art<br />
(MoMA) at the age of 22 in<br />
1969. See his latest work at<br />
the Francis Naumann Gallery<br />
in New York until June 4.<br />
