The Speech & Language Therapy Service aims to provide an efficient, effective and as far as possible equitable service to people with communication impairment<br />
within Forth Valley Health Board area. The Service provides:¨ assessment, diagnosis and management of speech, language, voice and communication disorders¨<br />
assessment and management of eating and drinking disorders (dysphagia)This encompasses:¨ facilitating the individual in achieving his or her potential in<br />
communication¨ assisting others in the individual’s environment to adapt their communication to meet the needs of that individual¨ raising awareness and understanding<br />
of issues of communication impairment across other professional groups in the NHS and in other agencies¨ promoting good practice in eating and drinking.¨ Service<br />
operates an open referral system receiving referrals from a wide range of professionals and agencies and also self referrals.<br />

There are two parts to our service, a specialist CAMHS bases at 1 Randolph Rd, Stirling offering assessment and therapies for children, young people and their families<br />
(age range 0-19), with moderate to severe mental health or psychological problems. The second part is the Link Up Service, a project that see children, young people<br />
and their families with emergeing or mild to moderate mental health problems and also offers trainng and consultation.<br />

Link Up provides a service to all children aged 0-18 within Clackmannanshire area. We are the early intervention service of CAMHS and are responsible for the<br />
promotion of mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We support and enhance service provision already delivered by universal services<br />
by providing – liason, consultation, training and joint work. We also undertake direct work with family to identify signs of emerging mental illness in children & young<br />
people, and provide direct intervention for children & young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.<br />
