(Age group 18+) CPPS provides a flexible treatment option for opiate users where clients are supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Signpost FV keyworkers<br />
support the client intensely, methadone is prescribed by the clients own GP (if their GP is willing to prescribe treatment for opiate misuse) and support and<br />
administration of treatment is provided by a community pharmacist. Support and advice is provided to the GP's, keyworkers and community pharmacists by the GP<br />
Prescribing Coordinator (GPPC) and the area Specialist Pharmacist in Substance Misuse (SPiSM).<br />
