The Scottish <strong>Children's</strong> Reporter Administration (SCRA) is the national body responsible for providing a world class care and justice system for all Scotland's<br />
children. Children’s Reporters located in each local authority area. Children are referred to the Reporter from a number of sources for a variety of reasons. The<br />
Reporter investigates each referral to decide if compulsory measures of intervention are needed. If necessary, the child is referred to a Children’s Hearing. Each<br />
Hearing comprises three Panel Members, who are all trained volunteers from the local community. The Children’s Hearings System has wide and far-ranging powers<br />
available to it, designed to ensure that the best interests of the child are met.<br />
