World Reflected in a Mirror
You would probably find it hard to name a more indispensable
and universal interior decoration element than
a mirror.
Indeed, it is impossible to imagine a house, apartment,
office, state institution, school, hospital or a kindergarten
without a mirror, which, alongside with its purely
utilitarian function, plays an important role in defining the
decorative image of the interior.
People buy mirrors in order to be able to see themselves
better or to enhance their living space with a stroke
of originality and comfort – though in both cases their
choice is motivated by a certain point of attraction, making
a particular mirror more appealing than others.
Mirrors created by artist Aka Goiashvili leave an indelible
impression with their diversity and ability to transform
the surrounding world.
Aka Goiashvili started her creative activities in 1994.
Until then, in 1985-1989 she studied at the department
of creative decoration of I. Nikoladze Art School and in
1989-1994 – continued her studies at the department of
monumental-decorative art of Tbilisi State Academy of Art.
Objects created by Aka are impressive and original.
Reflective surfaces of mirrors present colors and themes
in an unexpected manner. The themes themselves are
unexpected, turning reflections into dark myths or imaginary
shapes. Artist’s beautiful creative conceptions exceed
aesthetic limits and enter a new plane of complexity and
inner spirituality.
Works of art based on such approach add originality
to any space and serve as dominant points in creation
of harmonious and integral interiors.
Aka Goiashvili’s unique and refined mirror designs make
the surrounding world still more diverse and colorful.
