New sports complex built in Gudauri according to the project
by architect Dimitri Topuridze will soon be open to the public.
In this article we would like to focus on the interior of Krombacher
restaurant, functioning in the residential part of the complex. The
place is fully synchronized with the environment due to large glazed
windows. Architectonics of the space is refined and its perception
is intensified by varying degrees of combination between composition
and conventionality. You can feel the positive ecology of the
place at the very first step.
By adapting his professional intuition to the existing conditions
the author succeeded in creating a characteristic environment. The
impression of integrity in the interior is achieved due to a consistent
compositional solution, subtle variety of decorations with skillfully
placed highlights and colors changing from one surface to the
other, dialogues of lines and figures and design refrains. Key component
of the design is prevalent use of local natural materials
(wood, stone) in decoration.
In spite of stylistic integrity, every part of this interior retains

individual features. Diversity of decoration colors and textures draws
attention and varying intensity of lighting highlights the depth of
form and color.
Professionalism is always manifested in attention to detail. In
this particular interior this can be felt everywhere – in the choice
of textures and accessories, in the little details highlighting the author’s
ideas, the confluence of which makes this space a harmonious
integrity – an interesting, vast decorative panneau.
