Windows95, 98, 2000 Volcanos
1. In Windows, press Start, Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double click Display and click the Screen Saver tab.
3. In the field under Screen Saver click the arrow and select 3D Text.
4. Click Settings and in the Text field type Volcano.
The Screen Saver will display the names of various volcanoes as it runs.
Win98 Development Team (This takes some patience but is worth it)
1. Click Start, Settings, and click on Control Panel.
2. Double click on Regional Settings. A world map should appear. If not,
click the Regional Settings tab.
3. Hold the Ctrl key down and left click just to the left of
the uppermost part of the Nile River in northeast Africa.
4. With Ctrl and the left mouse button pressed, drag the cursor
to Tennessee (halfway between the Great Lakes and Florida,
slightly to the left).
5. Keep Ctrl pressed and release the left mouse button.
6. With Ctrl still pressed, left click the mouse and drag the
pointer to Redmond, Washington.
7. Release both control and the mouse button.
If you didn’t get it the first time, try again. Everything must be done
exactly as outlined. I can’t understand why Microsoft hid such a cool
display as an Easter egg. Enjoy.
