- The activities of the watchdog for women
- Training of women watchdog committee on violence against women
- Workshop of the participation of UP women members in local
compromising meetings
- Gender and Leadership training of the grassroots women
- Training on prevention of violence against women
- To perform workshops and advocacy on child marriage and dowry
- Upazila level advocacy workshop to prevention violence against women
- To perform workshops and advocacy of the elite, matchmakers, religious
leaders, and Imam on dowry, child marriage, illegal divorce.
- Workshop of police and elite on their role to prevent heinous violent
against women.
The activities performed from January 2011 to December 2011 as
below:
-To perform monthly meeting to Women Watchdog Committee.
-Training of women at grassroots level .
-Gender training to grassroots women to prevent violence against women
- Workshop of the UP women and child welfare standing committee and
women oppression prevention committee
- Workshop on the prevention of child marriage and dowry.
- Training to prevent violence against women in UP level
The remarkable achievements of the project :
- the violence against women reduced
- The number of women watchdog committee enhanced
- Child marriage and dowry reduced
- Marriage taken place in the target area without dowry
