Bakergonj and Banaripara Upazila with funding support from various donors. The relief materials includes : - Tin - Blanket - Daily use materials Educational materials to disadvantaged children of NFE program such as Bag, watert pot, Flask etc. To mitigate the sufferings of diarrhea affected people, 10,000 saline and water purification tablets has been distributed in Kathalia and Amua Union of Jhalakati district Apart from this the victims have been given house, healthy latrines and tube wells repairing. There have been effective monitoring and follow up to implement these programs Apart from this other programs include : - With the support from UNDP daily materials has been distributed to 5000 families in Nalua Union of Bakergonj Upazila - With the funding support fro Muhit Foundation, Tin has been distributed among the victims as rehabilitation service - Bag, water pot, and sweater has been distributed with the funding assistance Gonnosakhorota Ovijan in Banaripara Upazila - Distribution of Quarbani meat among the destitute : With the funding support from Zakat Foundation, Quarbani meat has been distributed among the destitute in 2008. ■ The remarkable achievement of the organization : The group has savings mentality The members are interested to express through various trainings. The cleanliness level developed and the men, women and children use healthy latrines The VGD women are inspired to income generating programs through training The income generating skill making the members self-reliant The discrimination of women rights decreased The violence against women reduced The child marriage and dowry incidence decreased The nutrition demand for mother & child is met The rate of breast feeding increased 46
The interest for taking family planning device increased The tortured women getting legal support The tortured women and children getting legal and rehabilitation support The disabled children are getting various supports and participation increased.
