The Remarkable achievements of the project : Free medicine distributed to 1000 poor women and children The health service is ensured by free medicine distribution The tortured women are getting support Every one use safe drinking water and sanitation The standard of cleanliness enhanced in personal and daily lives. They are inspired to accept family planning. ♥ HIV / AIDS Awareness Program : As a Member of HIV/AIDS Network Bangladesh, LTN has been operating awareness building program of HIV/AIDS pandemics, as : Target Population of this project : Primary Beneficiaries: - Rickshaw pullers - Truck Drivers - Sex Workers Secondary Stakeholders : - Grassroots women - Elite - Religious Leaders - NGO Executives - Students Supported by AIDS/STD , Save the Children and LTN various awareness Raising programs are being implemented. The remarkable side of activities as below : - Training on HIV/AIDS prevention and controlling - Advocacy Workshop on HIV/AIDS - Observation of World HIV/AIDS Day - Courtyard meeting at grassroots level - Opinion sharing meeting on HIV/AIDS at Upazila level with elite Apart from this program, LTN conducts discussion meeting with target people as below : - Primary idea on HIV/AIDS - Pandemic HIV/AIDS - Communication to prevent HIV/AIDS - The immunity of human body - Prevention of HIV/AIDS among the injecting drug users. - The discussion and presentation of world situation ( 2007) on HIV/AIDS in human body Last Evaluation - They know about this pandemic HIV/AIDS - They knew about world AIDS - They are committed to aware others to prevent HIV/AIDS 26
♥ CHILD RIGHTS RELATED PROGRAM : With the cooperation of Bangladesh Shihu Adhikar Forum ( BSAF ), LTN has been undertaking various programs to establish the importance and rights of children and all these programs include Press conference on Child Rights The target of the project : To establish rights of poor and disadvantaged children Activities : discussion meeting, advocacy meeting press briefing, training, Opinion sharing meeting with children Cultural program debating , essay competition, drawing competition, prize distribution, leaflets distribution, postering, 27
