Test Set TS-1/ARR-1 is a test oscillator u<strong>se</strong>d<br />
for the alignment of <strong>Radio</strong> Receiving <strong>Equipment</strong> AN/ARR-1.<br />
A type 955 tube in a tuned grid tuned plate circuit<br />
provides a 246 mc. signal which is modulated at 710<br />
kc. by a circuit employing a <strong>se</strong>cond 955 tube. About 70%0<br />
modulation is obtained.<br />
This portable test oscillator is hou<strong>se</strong>d in a sturdy<br />
weather proof metal ca<strong>se</strong> provided with a metal carrying<br />
handle. Itcontains a compartmentfor batteries necessary<br />
for operation. A weather proof canvas duck cover is provided<br />
for the protection of the test <strong>se</strong>t.<br />
There were no Army Supply Program requirements<br />
as of 1 February 1945.<br />
