<strong>Blacktown</strong> <strong>In</strong>ternational<br />
<strong>Sportspark</strong> Sydney<br />
continues to establish itself<br />
as the heart of sport in<br />
Western Sydney. Boasting<br />
first class Athletics Baseball<br />
and Softball facilities<br />
originally developed for the<br />
Sydney 2000 Olympic Games,<br />
<strong>Blacktown</strong> <strong>In</strong>ternational<br />
<strong>Sportspark</strong> also features AFL,<br />
Cricket & Football (Soccer)<br />
facilities all utilised for major<br />
sporting and community<br />
events each year.<br />
Attracting people from all<br />
quarters of our<br />
multiculturally diverse region,<br />
<strong>Blacktown</strong> <strong>In</strong>ternational<br />
<strong>Sportspark</strong> aims to ensure<br />
the community has the<br />
opportunity to engage with<br />
sport at all levels.<br />
The <strong>2011</strong>/12 period saw over<br />
505,943 visitors enjoy a<br />
variety of events and<br />
activities the <strong>Sportspark</strong>.<br />
This is a 16% increase on the<br />
2010/11 visitation figures.<br />
There has also been a 10%<br />
increase in booked events at<br />
<strong>Blacktown</strong> <strong>In</strong>ternational<br />
<strong>Sportspark</strong>. The 3703 booked<br />
events over the period<br />
included regular sporting<br />
competitions, training<br />
sessions, corporate events,<br />
community festivals and<br />
activities, commercial<br />
film shoots.
