Hardware Measuring Systems for Mobile Application 14 Measuring of an aircraft body iGPS This new measuring technology makes it possible to measure a lot of objects at the same time. Measuring principle › 2 - 16 Transmitters (Sender) continuously send light signals (infrared laser beams) › One or more sensors (receivers) can receive these signals simultaneously › The received light signals are transformed to angle values (horizontal and vertical) › 3D-Positioning data is determined by a spatial forward intersection Advantage › Continuously current 3D-positioning data › After interrupting the laser signal, the measurement can be continued immediately › 360° Mobility within the whole working area notwithstanding its size › A wide range of sensors enables flexible application › A large number of sensors can be recorded simultaneously –> high efficiency Accuracy ± 0.1 mm (depending on sensor type and installation design) Operating range 2 m – 40 m Field of application Indoor and outdoor areas, e.g. ship and airplane industry
Laser Tracker We work with Leica Laser Trackers LTD600 and LTD800. This is a mobile 3D-Coordinates Measuring System. It is installed on a highly precise laser interferometer measuring the distance with highest accuracy of angles. The Laser Tracker also offers mobility and high accuracy for a big bulk of measurements. › 40 m measured radius › up to 3000 points per second Accuracy ± 0.02 mm with objects sizes of 5 m x 2 m x 1 m We have already tested its high robustness in numerous production facilities under hard industrial conditions. For the varying measurement tasks we have wide ranging equipment. T-Cam + T-Probe With these devices, hidden measurement points can be measured. This, for instance, facilitates setting of jigs in the automotive industry considerably. By using various tracer heads, automatically recognised, nearly each point of the object can be reached.
