History: Our first camps were held in1993, and our first clubactivities
started in 1998.
National\Regional scope: All the sniffim in Belarus.
Who mainly runs the snif: Faina Zmitrochenko, coordinator.
Decision making: there is a group of madrichim that is managed by the
coordinator. This group makes the decisions. There are also conference calls on
a regular basis between all FSU-Netzer coordinators and the Netzer coordinator
for FSU in Israel (Rita Fruman) in which joint decisions affecting all sniffim in
the FSU are made.
Who is available to support the movement: The umbrella organization for
the World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ), as well as some members of
the progressive communities in the FSU.
Numbers: 200 active members.
Age groups: 11-13; 14-17.
Activities: Our main activities are:
♦ city club-activities
♦ educational projects aimed at studying Jewish history, tradition and
religion
♦ educational projects aimed at the study of Israel and Zionism
♦ entertainment projects / games
♦ Netzer camps
♦ Leadership Seminars to prepare young leaders for Reform Jewish
Communities in the present and future
Relationship to adult movement:
Our relationship with the adult community of Progressive Judaism in Belarus is
very strong. There is full cooperation as we have the same goal: to create a
strong and vibrant Reform Jewish community in Belarus that is relevant to all
age groups in the country.
Aside from separate activities, we also hold joint events and projects, such as
Jewish festivals and commemorations.
The support, respect and encouragement of the adult community of our
activities are strong and it enables us to develop Netzer in the FSU in general
and in Belarus in particular.

Mission Statement:
1) We are open to all youth who're willing to accept Netzer's ideology, to make
informed choices, and to be part of a Reform community in the FSU.
2) We are here to support, enrich and continue the development of Jewish life
in the framework of a Jewish Progressive youth movement.
