History: Our first camps were held in1993, and our first clubactivities<br />
started in 1998.<br />
National\Regional scope: All the sniffim in Belarus.<br />
Who mainly runs the snif: Faina Zmitrochenko, coordinator.<br />
Decision making: t<strong>here</strong> is a group of madrichim that is managed by the<br />
coordinator. This group makes the decisions. T<strong>here</strong> are also conference calls on<br />
a regular basis between all FSU-Netzer coordinators and the Netzer coordinator<br />
<strong>for</strong> FSU in Israel (Rita Fruman) in which joint decisions affecting all sniffim in<br />
the FSU are made.<br />
Who is available to support the movement: <strong>The</strong> umbrella organization <strong>for</strong><br />
the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Union</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Progressive</strong> <strong>Judaism</strong> (WUPJ), as well as some members of<br />
the progressive communities in the FSU.<br />
Numbers: 200 active members.<br />
Age groups: 11-13; 14-17.<br />
Activities: Our main activities are:<br />
♦ city club-activities<br />
♦ educational projects aimed at studying Jewish history, tradition and<br />
religion<br />
♦ educational projects aimed at the study of Israel and Zionism<br />
♦ entertainment projects / games<br />
♦ Netzer camps<br />
♦ Leadership Seminars to prepare young leaders <strong>for</strong> Re<strong>for</strong>m Jewish<br />
Communities in the present and future<br />
Relationship to adult movement:<br />
Our relationship with the adult community of <strong>Progressive</strong> <strong>Judaism</strong> in Belarus is<br />
very strong. T<strong>here</strong> is full cooperation as we have the same goal: to create a<br />
strong and vibrant Re<strong>for</strong>m Jewish community in Belarus that is relevant to all<br />
age groups in the country.<br />
Aside from separate activities, we also hold joint events and projects, such as<br />
Jewish festivals and commemorations.<br />
<strong>The</strong> support, respect and encouragement of the adult community of our<br />
activities are strong and it enables us to develop Netzer in the FSU in general<br />
and in Belarus in particular.<br />

Mission Statement:<br />
1) We are open to all youth who're willing to accept Netzer's ideology, to make<br />
in<strong>for</strong>med choices, and to be part of a Re<strong>for</strong>m community in the FSU.<br />
2) We are <strong>here</strong> to support, enrich and continue the development of Jewish life<br />
in the framework of a Jewish <strong>Progressive</strong> youth movement.<br />
